Ensuring that you are ready for the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
YouGov carried out a survey of over 2,000 senior business decision makers in the UK to understand just how ready they are and what action they have taken to date.
The results showed that less than half of the senior decision makers (38 per cent) were aware of the new GDPR rules and just 29 per cent said they had started preparing for GDPR, as late as three months prior to the compliance deadline.

Now that the GDPR has been enforceable since 25 May 2018, breached organisations will find the fines they face increasing dramatically. Penalties will reach an upper limit of €20 million or 4% or annual global turnover – whichever is higher.
​
For many businesses, the threat of insolvency or even closure because of GDPR penalties will soon be very real.
